About David Eggert, M.D.
Dr. Eggert, a West Bend native, began practicing in 1986 and joined the Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton, which eventually joined forces with OSI, in 2007. A orthopedic surgeon certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he is an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society.
During his years as an orthopedic surgeon, he has provided care to athletes at the NFL Scouting Combine as a member of the National Football League Physicians Society. He’s also participated in athletic training programs at Ripon College (his alma mater), Lawrence University, and for the Appleton Area School District.
Dr. Eggert founded OSI’s Medical Mentoring program, which provides job-shadowing opportunities for area high school students interested in medicine as their profession of choice.
In his free time, Dr. Eggert loves to fish, practice hot yoga, play golf, and bicycle. You can often find him casting lines on the Wolf River and Lake Winnebago’s Asylum Bay. He also enjoys his roles as husband, father of four, and grandfather of nine.
Dr. Eggert performs anterior hip and knee replacements.
