Dr. Eggert is a great doctor. Twice I went to early for my appointment and they got me in with a reasonable wait. Once he even saw me on his break time. Both my husband and I had knee replacements, turned out great. Now we both have other surgeries coming up and I know that it will turn out great.Dr.Eggert has a very pleasant personality, patiencete, polite, and takes his time and explains all options. He answered all questions. His staff are excellent also they make you feel at home.

As a young man, that happened to get vascular necrosis of the left hip, I had some reservations about replacement. Dr Kuplic and Brad Borgen were thorough in making sure the procedure was right for me, and they made me confident throughout the process. I would highly recommend their team to anyone.

I was really nervous about going in and getting everything done, but Dr. Kuplic was super awesome and really helped to ease my nerves! The nurses and the rest of the team that was there to help me was just as amazing, helping to ease my nerves and even going forth and explaining what and why they were doing what they were doing, which I really appreciated!

Long term review: Dr. Eggert is an expert. He did my total hip replacement 5 years ago using an anterior approach with robotic assistance when robotic assisted surgery was on the periphery. As an added bonus, he is approachable, funny, and intentionally listens when you speak (didn’t multi-task when I was speaking).

An uncle of mine had a hip replacement done a few weeks before mine by another surgeon in Madison. Not only did my uncle take longer to heal from his replacement, he had intermittent discomfort with it immediately, which has been ongoing.

My only qualm with Dr. Eggert is that he is not immortal, as I would prefer him to replace the liner in 20-30 years when it’s needed.

Dr. Kuplic was very thorough in reviewing our daughter’s x-rays. He talked to us in a way that made sense and calmed our worries about what the future may hold. He provided us with potential scenarios along with treatment options for those scenarios. As a very worried mother, I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

I had a cortisone injection in my left shoulder for arthritis. Dr Eggert and I also talked about my up coming right knee surgery. He is a wonderful doctor and cares about his patients. Hee plains everything in detail. I highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr. Minorik many times including a new total knee. Everytime he discusses my current orthopedic health concern. He shows me current and past results, and listens to my needs. Also, he gives me the choice of best options related to my need at that time. I highly
respect him and will continue to see him as my orthopedic specialist for knees and shoulders and other orthopedic concerns.

Dr.Eggert and his staff were very helpful, thoughtful and caring. The surgery was executed flawlessly and prescribing my use of an ice machine helped speed my recovery. The referral to ATI rehab also helped speed my recovery.

It was great. They are very efficient. Conference, X-ray, another conference with doctor explaining results of X-ray on knee. Given shot which is so far working with call back to them if not working to consult on next step. Doctor and nurse both efficient and professional. If I need surgery would definitely be with Dr Egbert at that facility.

Dr Kuplic is a very good doctor. He is easy to talk to and extremely good at what he does. Recently he did my knee replacement and it turned out great with no issues. I will continue to see Dr Kuplic for my other knee replacement.

Rather than talking AT me, Dr. Ritzow talked WITH me and let me explain what was happening with my hip. He offered different options for me and explained each one of them thoroughly. I previously had my right hip replaced by Dr. Ritzow, and if I do have to have a left hip replacement, I am sure I will have it done by Dr. Ritzow

Dr. Minorik took the time to make sure that all my questions were answered and that I was comfortable with the decisions before my procedure. He has a quiet confidence about him that put me at ease.

He reviewed my X-ray and showed me exactly what was wrong and what to expect going forward. Then he offered “immediate” relief (2-weeks). In 2-weeks I was back to around 75-80% of normal motion.

I had THE BEST experience with Dr. Eggert and his entire OSI team. From start to finish (and beyond) you feel like you are family friends. Pre, during, and post surgery – I was a person they cared about, not a number on a file! They give so much personal attention to every aspect, I’m almost sad that it’s over (i had a successful knee replacement surgery and am doing fantastic now). I have had knee problems since my late 20’s/early 30’s. I had gone through several years of physical therapy as the orthopedic doctor I was seeing didn’t think any type of surgery was needed. After reaching my 40’s the knees started locking and it was time to check for other alternatives. I was referred to Dr. Eggert from a co-worker and I haven’t looked back. Turns out the problems I had could not be corrected with physical therapy alone. After scopes on both knees to repair tendon damage it was clear that I would eventually need both knees replaced sooner rather then later due to severe osteoarthritis. I have since had both replaced and can’t say enough about the doctor and his staff. I had no problem with getting the appointments needed. Dr Eggert was very attentive in the examination and the accuracy of the diagnosis. We explored every option that was available before finally replacing them both. It helps a great deal to have a doctor with a positive attitude who comes to see you before and after the surgery as well as the stay in the hospital during recovery. Nothing was left to the imagination when it came to explaining what took place during the surgery and what to expect during the recovery process. I have great respect for a doctor who takes the time to explain your treatment plan with you rather then pass it off to his staff of nurses. Everything that he said would occur as I recovered happened like clockwork. If I ever have a need for an orthopedic surgeon again there is no question who I would see. Would I recommend him? Absolutely!!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the daily texts and updates and links for more. There have been great days when I’ve felt that I could do anything with my new knee. There’s been days when I felt like I was going backwards and frustrated and like this process will take forever. When I had a ‘backward’ felling day I’d get a text of encouragement – telling me to keep it up, to remember why I did this in the first place, to share other stories of people like me going through the same thing. I’m at 7 weeks post surgery only, and I know I have a long way to go, but already, I can do more things pain free than I could for years before the replacement. I started seeing Dr. Dave Ritzow approximately 2 years before my right hip replacement surgery. He helped me process the options of medication, physical therapy and healthy habits to allow me to function at my highest ability. There were activities I wanted to continue, slalom skiing for one, prior to getting the surgery. He didn’t push me to schedule surgery, but laid out my options so I could select a path that best aligned with my goals. Dr. Eggert is amazing. He listens to your issue and explains your options to the issue. He will even draw the problem out to help you understand. You can then take a picture of the drawing to help you explain the issue once you have left the appointment. Dr. Eggert has replaced both of my knees and a hip. I can walk without pain. I can kneel and even crawl with my Grandchildren. I can get up off the floor without assistance. I know others that have had knees and hips replaced elsewhere. They are always amazed at how much better my surgeries have turned out than theirs. Dr. Eggert know his business and he is amazing at his work!

I went in with knee pain. I had an X-ray prior to my visit. Dr. Ritzow was patient and took time to answer all my questions regarding the X-ray and his findings in the examination of my knee bringing up the imaging and explaining what was seen. He really cares about his patients.

He reviewed my injury and clearly explained all my care options in such a way that I could understand. He is a very caring doctor that is able to put himself in my position. Most important, I trust him to do what is best for me. He uses state of the art equipment to get outstanding results?

We had an unexpected pediatric ortho injury, I knew Dr Kuplic was the expert to see. We were able to get in the same day, his clinic staff was superb. Brad his NP saw us right away-Got an xray and we had a diagnosis within minutes. We were treated quickly and with a plan set for surgery the next morning. Very impressed with the process and care provided to our child. He took the time to explain the injury, treatment options and the follow up care. Highly recommend him for ortho care for children!

Dr. Eggert was AMAZING! He did very well with my son & made his surgery process go as smoothly as possible. We went into the office on Monday mid morning, Dr. Eggert came in, showed us the x-ray & talked us through what needed 2 be done. Tuesday morning we went 2 Appleton & my son got ready for surgery immediately. Dr. Eggert came & talked 2 me throughout the surgery & kept me posted on what was going on. My son has a HUGE fear of needles & I told the nurses this so they gave my son laughing gas 2 make the IV process go smoothly. The entire staff was extremely helpful & answered & all questions I had! It’s comforting 2 see that there are still Dr’s & nurses out there that don’t treat you like a # & who actually take time with you & explain things 2 you!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. EGGERT!!!

Everyone I worked with made for a pleasant experience. The surgery (hip replacement) itself was so smooth and painless–didn’t need any pain killers at all. And since I am an older petson the therapy girls (Jordan & Courtney) were both so helpful and understanding. In turn, not once did I fart while doing my workouts!! My final visit with Doc Ritzow just made me smile about the whole procedure.

Could not have been better. This is my second knee replacement. I wouldn’t choose any other Doctor but Dr Ritzow. I highly recommend him and his team. I have been a patient of Dr. Kuplic for about 20 years. He is kind to his patients and staff, as well as a leader in his field. I have also seen his nurse practitioner, Brad Borgen, many times and would not hesitate to see Brad either. This week I was in to see Brad regarding my hip impingement pain. Since we are going on a trip overseas, I wanted to pursue cortisone injections. After a set of X-rays and an evaluation by Brad, Dr. Kuplic’s staff jumped through hoops to see me later in the day (since we live 1.5 hrs away) for X-ray guided injections performed by Dr. Kuplic. They made sure it was covered by insurance and Dr. Kuplic was able to fit me in his schedule after his clinical appointments. I am feeling amazing a day later! I am so grateful to everyone in Dr. Kuplic’s office who made it possible for me to get relief yesterday!

I have been very happy with Dr Ritzow and his staff throughout my total knee replacement procedure. They have been very helpful with answering any questions that came up before and after the procedure. I especially liked the informational texts that came from Dr Ritzow on a regular basis. Advanced Physical Therapy has been very helpful with my therapy after surgery. I have been working with Bill and Kaiti twice a week since surgery. I have a ways to go because of lingering swelling around my knee. Looking forward to to a full recovery so I can get back to golf, Pickleball and bike riding. I am told I just need to be patient.

Saw Dr. Eggert’s commercial on tv doing robotic surgery which interested me as well as he did my ACL surgery 20 years ago. I decided to find out what it was all about. Dr. Eggert and his team were fantastic! In no time I had an appointment made for surgery.
The whole experience was wonderful especially recovering in the Recovery Inn. Everyone was kind and spent a lot of time with me to make it the best that it could be.
Dr. Eggert’s team sent me a text every day giving tips for a good recovery. They also gave me encouragement to keep exercising which is the key to getting better. I would give 5 stars for this surgery. I gave up my walker and cane within a week and at 6 weeks am having no problems walking. The team was very professional and caring.

Wonderful orthopedic team at OSI! I had hip replacements in 8 months, and have bounced back better than before! Because of Dr Kuplic and his medical team, and the close integration of Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine (located in the same building as OSI) I was able to recover in a very short time, and return to Dog Agility training and Agility trials, helping my team mate, Islay, gain two more Agility titles. 5 stars isn’t enough for you guys! I forgot to mention the daily texts I received from Dr. Kuplic’s office that encouraged me and helped me get through recovery.

Dr Kuplic did my first knee replacement surgery 7yrs ago. Fast forward to 2024 and I need to have my other knee replacement done. Back to OSI and Dr Kuplic, 7 weeks out and walking, driving. I still am doing rehab, but just about done with that. If you put in the work by doing you pre-surgery exercises and follow what Dr tells you, you’ll be back and going in no time. I was one hour late and he still fit me in to see me so I didn’t have to drive 45 minutes back to see him when I was having significant pain. From the pre-surgery appointments to the follow-up daily emails, everything was an exceptional experience. I felt like I was well-informed about the surgery and about what to expect after surgery. My recovery went very well and the emails let me know what to expect an any given time.

This is the fourth time seeing Dr. Jay Minorik for two different issues over three years / shoulder and knee. I have found him to be experienced and friendly. I appreciate how he shares scans (MRI and X-ray), and takes the time to thoroughly explain what was on the scan and what my options are He has given my knee a couple of steroid injections. He does a good job answering questions I have about treatments and possible interventions. I never feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

Everyone at his office is very nice. They really have their act together. They call well ahead of time to make arraignments for my knee surgery. I have had many surgeries over the years and I can honestly say that this was my best experience anywhere.

I had a robotic knee replacement with Dr. Eggert. He is a very personable physician with a very caring and competent staff. When I had problems tolerating the pain medication, he returned my call and worked with me to solve the dilemma, even on a Saturday. The texts his office sent were so encouraging and timely. His PA’s are fabulous, very knowledgeable, compassionate and encouraging as is his nursing staff. I recommend following his recommendations completely including the ice compression machine, continuous motion machine, etc because they work and pain was well controlled. Don’t be in a hurry, healing takes time!! Take his advice on PT providers, they are fantastic. I can’t say enough how pleased I am with the care and outcome of my surgery with Dr. Eggert.

Dr. David Eggert did a partial knee replacement robotically on my right knee a number of years ago. When it was time for a hip replacement this year, there was no question as to where I was going to have this procedure done. OSI is a “well oiled machine” and everything they do is thorough and well explained. I enjoyed receiving the daily informative e-mail messages after the procedure. The phone calls from the nurses and Dr. Eggert were appreciated and quite helpful as well. The thing that impressed me the most was the time Dr. Eggert spent with us the day of the procedure, on the phone after the procedure and in the office at the follow-up. He spent as much time as we needed to answer any questions and explain the recovery process. That extra time and effort was greatly appreciated.

Dr. Eggert was amazing. He did a total knee replacement on one knee and meniscus repair on the other. He explains things very well. His staff is extremely nice. They follow up with you quite a bit via phone and text to make sure everything is going well. I had a great recovery from both surgeries. If I ever have to have my knees worked on again, there is no question as to who I will go to.

I was glad to see OSI had a walk in clinic as I had hurt myself right before Christmas as was afraid I’d have to wait until after to get in and get treatment. All the staff were courteous and Dr Minorik explained things thoroughly. I was miserable when I came in and by that evening I was so much better. Thank you! I hope I don’t have to ever come back but it’s good to know they’re there.

Dr. Minorik is one of the nicest and kindest doctors I’ve ever had. His practice is full of friendly professionals who excel in their areas of expertise. Dr. Minorik is easy to talk to and really listens to what you say. You can ask him any amount of questions and he answers them all without ever rushing you. Best doctor ever!! Dr Kuplic did bilateral knee replacements in June and that was the best decision. Both knees had to work hard to get the range of motion needed. I had the best care from start to finish.

I had a total knee replacement and I can’t say enough about Dr. Kuplic and the team at OSI and advanced therapy. He was communicating with me in person and sending very helpful messages during my recovery. My surgery went well as did my recovery. I was up and about without assistance. In this day and age it is truly a rarity to find a doctor with medical expertise and essential personal qualities. He is kind, caring, empathetic, has strong orthopedic knowledge, understands the athlete and the elderly, He takes time to know his patient and yet he is rarely late ,when he is he apologizes. Excellent! That’s the best word to describe the work of Dr. Eggert and his OSI team. The only problems I had were with the billing department not sending the proper billing information to a couple of the off site service providers. They got it straightened out swiftly. My thought, if a mistake is going to be made, let it be a correctable billing error.

I’ve been seeing Dr Eggert exclusively for knee and shoulder pain over the past 5 or more years. I have not been to any other Orthopedic surgeon so I can’t compare him to one….but I don’t think there could be anyone out there who would compare. He’s got to be the best!

Great place! I would definitely recommend OSI. Dr . Ristow performed surgery on my a knee and shoulder and I have no complaints. If you are unsure where to go I would recommend Dr Ristow.

I’ll try to make this as short as possible.. I was having problems with My right hip starting in fall of 2020, it kept getting worse in 2021 I had x-ray taken arthritis and further testing I had tears in my labrum.. I seen 3 orthopedic surgeons , first two tried to help and treatment did nothing,I was referred to a 3rd orthopedic surgeon and he treated me for 4 months in green bay NOTHING HELPED ME! I kept being told I just wasn’t quite there for a hip replacement I did everything that he asked. FINALLY after the 4 months I was asked to wait another 3 months.. I was in so much pain , I was begging my family doctor for pain medication,I almost lost my position at work I HAD ENOUGH! I looked on line watched Doctor Eggert’s video I SOBBED like a baby I found he was in my insurance network. I called I was seen within 5 days t EVERYONE THERE IS AMAZING ❤️ Doctor Eggert was so caring and listened to me 💞 ! I had a surgery date set ! Great review of my shoulder and my knee issues. Very thorough and articulate. Clear, logical, understandable analysis and presentation. Did not rush, snd took time to answer my questions and discuss options. Sees enough volume of cases to qualify as expert. Office team, assistant and X-ray techs all very patient and thorough. Dr. Eggert is the most caring doctor I’ve ever encountered. He makes himself available to you. He calls you before and after surgery. He has a great team that really care about you too. They made sure I got the equipment I needed and the therapy I needed. However, you’re not just passed off after surgery is over. He follows up with you to see how you’re doing and he wanted to know what I thought they could have done better. I couldn’t think of a single thing. I had my knee replaced and I couldn’t have robotic because I have too many other mobility issues. I was concerned that my healing would be affected, However, I had nothing to worry about. Dr Eggert performed a perfect surgery for me. He not only replaced my knee, but he made my leg straight too. I couldn’t be happier. My Physical Therapists are amazed at how well my knee has healed. Day of Surgery: very good.
Suggestion: track how many clients vomit after they get home, to determine the cause and try to correct it. (Or in the first 24 hrs)
Post-op: glad to have oxycodone. It really helped with the pain control. I like the separate post op phone number to call vs the office number. Messages get taken care of promptly, which I appreciate.
Suggestion: add this number to post op instructions from the Surgicenter.
I like the daily texts for information and encouragement. Nice touch.

My experience has been amazing from pre-surgery-post surgery! Dr Kuplic and his team have been exceptional throughout this knee replacement journey. Beginning with my office visit with Dr and learning my options I felt comfortable with my decision to have surgery. An orientation meeting with OSI staff and PT answered questions and provided valuable information and exercises to prepare me for surgery. I also opted to receive text messages from Drs office with pertinent information and ongoing exercises throughout my journey. When surgery day arrived I was greeted with kind, professional and highly skilled caregivers every step of the way. Dr Kuplic, Brad Borgen and the surgical team did what they do best… excelled with their surgical expertise which resulted in a most successful surgery. The text messages continued throughout my 6 wk recovery…often answering questions I had been thinking at the time and sharing expectations of where I should strive to be. I am now 6 weeks post surgery, pain free and well on my way to a full recovery and bright days ahead.

I came in to see Dr. Eggert because I was having knee pain. The care and compassion that I received from the staff and Dr. Eggert was fantastic! I have recently had my second knee replaced by Dr Minorik in June of 2021 and have had outstanding results, as is his reputation! He is the only doctor I would recommend for knee surgeries! My surgery was done at OSI and I spent three days at Recovery Inn. The care was excellent and I felt secure in their capable hands, from pre-op to discharge and follow up care! I am on a keto diet and the kitchen manager went out of his way to buy me food and beverages that I could have during my stay. The nursing staff, dietary, housekeeping, and therapy staff went above and beyond my expectations! I felt like I was staying in a posh hotel. I was discharged with an excellent understanding of what I needed to do to have the best possible outcome. I love the new text system of support that Dr Minorik has for each of his patients. It was informational, supportive and encouraging! Thank you for the superb care!

I’ve used Dr. Eggert in the past and recently went back regarding the same knee and he has been nothing but short of amazing. I would highly recommend Dr Eggert. I’ve seen Dr. Kuplic years ago but then I had to switch doctors due to insurance but now that I had a choice again I was more than happy to go back to him. Over the past 10 years, I’ve seen Dr Ritzow for a torn rotator cuff, broken hand and broken ankle. Each time, Dr. Ritzow was thorough, precise, timely and expert. The injuries healed great. He is very careful not to overprescribe narcotic pain meds – which I really appreciated. Too many prescriptions are written by some physicians who give them unnecessarily. I highly recommend this surgeon.

Dr kuplic and his team are amazing. I had my right hip replaced in dec. I am almost to the 6 week mark amd walking without cane. The recovery is going very smooth. Dr, Minorik had been my go to for the last 6 years! He did my left knee replacement and I am happy as can be with the results! Now we are dealing with the right and have been getting cortisone shots for the last ; years. He is very understanding on my wanting to wait to replace it, but said he is here whenever I want to do it! As long as the shots are working do what I feel is best for me! Great doctor! This was my second hip replacement. The first was with a different surgeon. I learned so much more and was supported by the surgeon personally and with almost daily text messages which were right on schedule for the questions I had. I also had PT this time which really assisted in my recovery. I am very pleased at 7 weeks post surgery with my recovery.

I had my hip replaced 8 years ago and it is wonderful! I just had my left knee replaced and now will have my right one. Dr. Ritzow is a very compassionate and caring doctor. He listens to you when you talk and answers any questions. He will not do something that is not in your best interest. He is also in close contact with the physical therapists. I trust Dr. Ritzow fully and know that I am in good hands. He has an amazing team as well. Kim (PA) is super sweet and so helpful. Chelsea (nurse) is always there to help and answer any questions you have. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Knee surgery went extremely well with state of the art robotic assisted surgery. Virtually pain free. Followup care at the recovery center couldn’t have been better.

I’d had both of my knees replaced several years earlier by different surgeons. One experience was so hideous I got PTSD from it. I did my research and although frightened I decided to go see Dr D Eggert when I simply could not take my severe hip pain any longer.

Dr. Ritzow was very professional. He carefully diagnosed the problem so that a remedy was found (unlike another clinic’s provider).
He was also very personable.

Dr. Ritzow replaced both my knees. One done in 2007, and the other in 2009. I can tell that I have never been more pleased with the results. He did the surgery when other doctors said no. To him it was about the quality of my life. He was caring and showed great compassion in my condition. He did say that rehab after a total knee replacement can and will be a painful treatment, but once you regain total motion of your knee joint, it would be like your knee was yours and not a replacement. He was exactly right. Here in 2020, my knees still feel great with no issues whatsoever. Dr. Ritzow and Kim are fantastic providers, and I highly recommend them.

Dr. Eggert was very friendly and approachable. He offer a solution for solving the situation with my knee. If I need further treatment, I would have no hesitation trusting his opinion and ability to perform. The stuff is friendly, no delay. I had great experience overall.

Dr Minorik did surgery on my knee 4 years ago and I have had nothing but complete relief of pain in my knee! He is an excellent surgeon, kind, caring, compassionate and professional. Here’s an update 7 months after my hip replacement: How different this summer has been from the past 2-3 summers! Now I can easily walk at the fair, on the beach, on uneven trails in the woods without any problems! My hamstrings are the loosest they’ve been in 45 years (my acupuncturist says my nervous system has reset) , my lower back doesn’t hurt (didn’t need a new office chair after all), I can both sit and stand longer without fatigue or pain, and I sleep better. My non-surgical hip no longer has to over compensate beyond reason for my previously injured hip. I am sure this surgery prevented a looming serious fall since my steadiness and strength is once again reliable. So very grateful to have normalcy restored! Dr. Eggert provided important experience with robotic-assisted surgery to optimize 4 angles of the replacement resulting in a customized fit, used an ideal combination of materials in the hip replacement hardware, and stayed connected through daily support texts serveral weeks beyond the surgery. He and his team had a passion for my success.

Really takes the time to explain things to you. Makes you feel good about being there. Not rushed in and out. Had done surgery on me with great results!

On November 15 I had my left hip replaced. Dr Eggert assured me that I would be like new again. He was right. After surgery the pain I was having before was gone. I had of course some pain from the surgery but nothing like before. my stay at the recovery inn really helped me get walking right away. Great experience with OSIFV and especially all the personnel that work with Dr. Kuplic. He and staff were highly recommended and did not disappoint! If there was something that could have improved, the tools like grabber, shoe horn, leg pillow could have been nice to have. Fortunately there are so many that have had this type of surgery that if you asked someone will have what you need. The texts are nice but not a substitute for PT.

I had an outstanding experience with my robot assisted total knee joint replacement surgery at OSI. Dr. David Eggert is an outstanding surgeon and PA-C Sheryl Gauthier was instrumental in preparing me before and caring for me after surgery – great communication skills and “bed-side manor”. The rest of the staff was also incredible. The 2-day stay at the Recovery Inn was crucial to my recovery.

Dr Ritzow is a very empathetic and straight shooting doctor. I appreciated the honesty and his guidance through surgery and the healing process. I hope to never break another ankle but if I do I will go back to Dr. Ritzow.

Everything about this TKR process has been great. The facilities at OSI are extremely nice and Dr. Eggert and his staff are exceptional. The follow up by Dr. Eggert has been very much appreciated. The daily text messages really helped me maintain my motivation – by keeping me informed of weekly goals and exercises. It’s now been seven weeks since my surgery and my knee is almost back to normal! Thank you!

Dr Eggert replaced my right hip on March 4, 2022. The entire process from start to finish exceeded my expectations. Dr Eggert had great bed side manner and made us feel very comfortable about the surgery. The organization aspects of the entire process were amazing. I received text messages about things to remember and exercises to perform, post op.

After surgery the stay at the OSI recovery center was amazing. The nursing staff and the physical therapists took great care, and I was walking on the same day as surgery.

After being released on day two after surgery, text messages continued daily for 6 weeks with reminders about important things to remember; exercises to perform; do’s and don’ts.

I am now 6 weeks since surgery and have no pain. I have not taken pain medication for the prior two weeks.

One additional piece of information relates to insurance. I am 73 years old and had Medicare and a supplemental policy. During the initial meeting with Dr Eggert, I was advised that my insurance would not cover the surgery at OSI since Medicare required the surgery be performed at a hospital. That was a major problem because one of the reasons we selected Dr Eggert was his use of robotics to assist with the surgery. The robot was located at OSI and not at the hospital.

Dr Eggert provided a contact name from Network Health, suggesting they might be able to help. We made contact and after a lengthy discussion with the representative my wife and I both moved our insurance to this company, and they have been great. They covered the entire cost of the surgery except for a $225 co-pay. The cost of medication I was on and unrelated to the hip surgery dropped dramatically. Furthermore, I am having cataract surgery in Illinois in July and the new insurance covers the surgery less a reasonable co-pay.

Thanks to Dr Eggert and the entire OSI staff for a job well done. I highly recommend Dr Eggert and OSI for hip surgery.

The receptionist, nurses, x-ray techs to the Dr, all were excellent caregivers. They were experts in what they did and I felt right at home with them.

My knee replacement went well. At 7 weeks I often forget i had surgery because it feels so good.

I worked with Allison most of the time and Courtney a few times, both of them are great. It’s nice that everything is in one building makes it more convenient. If you or someone you know needs a knee replacement all of the people are the ones you want. The text messages they send are also very helpful.

Dr. Kuplic is next level great!! He answered all my questions and concerns, and was extremely patient. Dr. Kuplic accomplished in one appointment what the VA couldn’t accomplish in nearly 5 years. That is being 100% pain-free! I greatly appreciate your time and effort sir!!

After the procedure to break up scar tissue in my knee replacement, I haven’t felt this good in years. I am experiencing no pain. Thank you to Dr. Eggert, for his excellent care and that of the clinic staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Eggert.

Undoubtedly the best! I initially diagnosed with needing a total knee replacement. I went to Dr Eggert for a second opinion and he said “just a little meniscus tear. Nothing more .” How long will this take I asked? 45 minutes he said. And it was so.

Amazing experience. Had a vehicle emergency and the office staff and Dr minorik accommodated my emergency and when I arrived did everything to help me. Dr Minorik was very professional understanding and informative for future treatment highly recommend him and staff

Dr. Eggert is so personable! He makes you feel comfortable right away. He thoroughly listened to me, and gave me many options to help with my next total knee replacement. He listens and is compassionate about your concerns and issues. He finds solutions to help those of us who have special issues.

I think Dr David Eggert did a good job. I looked at the x-rays andI was impressed. The fact that he has a knee replacement, makes his advice first hand. It is still a fairly long recovery but he gave advice on what to do, and when.

We wish more of our healthcare providers were like Dr. Ritzow. He takes time to explain the diagnosis and the various treatment options. He never seems to be in a rush.

All I can say is don’t wait!!!!

Dr Kuplic and his team were fantastic!!
I was scheduled for my right knee when in a few weeks before surgery , something happened to my left knee. I asked if I could do my left knee first.
Dr Kuplic’s team in a short amount of time, we’re able to get my left knee approved!

The recovery inn was very comfortable, but I must say I was a little concerned with only being able to stay 23 hours as I had to go up stairs to get inside my house.
This was probably the hardest thing of the whole knee replacement experience was getting into my house.

Dr. Kuplic’s team made personal phone calls weekly to check on how I was doing and I found the daily messages on my phone answered pretty much all my questions.

Everyone says if you do the work, you will be very happy with the outcome!! I am only six weeks out and I am ready to proceed with my right knee.

In therapy they ask you what your goals are, they work with you , encourage you , and push you, but never too far!!!
(my goal was to be able to get down into a kayak and climb a ladder). In six weeks, I have achieved my goals.!!!

If I were to sum up my experience with Dr. David Eggert and his staff, it would be with two words, compassionate professionalism. From the beginning, Dr. Eggert listened to what I had to tell him with an understanding that this was my first encounter with a knee joint gone bad. Even though he has been through it as a patient and a doctor many times, he patiently guided me through the intended procedure making certain that I understood each phase and that there was a reason for and an ending to any of the pain I felt. As we came to know each other better, humor and an occasional supportive arm around the shoulder let me know that better days were coming. We are about eight weeks into my recovery. There are good days and some that require more patience. In the long run, things are looking up. I fully expect that I may feel healing changes for up to a year as my strength builds up and my body accepts its new parts. To that end, Dr. Eggert has a series of email help notes that are encouraging and informative as what to expect on my road to recovery.

Excellent experience from the time we walked in the door. Dr Ritzow is thorough and knowledgeable and always takes the extra time to answer questions. Would highly recommend Dr Ritzow for any of your orthopedic needs.

They have been great helping my wife from the start. I saw Dr Eggert 20 plus years ago for an ACL reconstruction so suggested my wife go to him. A boy he hasn’t disappointed us. Only complaint I would have is one lady on the after hours phone. Otherwise the rest have been amazing!

Everyone I came across was kind and helpful. Dr. Kuplic explained everything in an easy to understand manner. Because of Covid I came in for surgery alone. I was well taken care of from the moment I walked in to the clinic. Nurses were attentive The recovery texts I received once I came home were very welcome. They were easy to understand and spot on in what I was going through. Jarod, my PT is amazing. He is compassionate and encouraging but makes me work hard to keep my recovery progressing. I appreciate all his encouragement. It has been a very positive experience.

Dr Kuplic, along with Brad, Monica, Anna and Skyler are amazing. I love the daily texts from Dr Kuplic, letting me know what to expect and what to do to help with my healing. I would recommend them any time. I am actually planing to have my other knee done same time next year.

OSI is amazing! Dr. Ritzow has done my hip replacement and will be doing a knee replacement soon. He is very kind, explains everything, is a great listener and treats you with concern. The nurses and nurse practitioners are just as good. They are very friendly and are great listeners as well. Reception is always friendly and helpful. I would recommend OSI to anyone.

I Loved Dr. Eggert and his team. They were all very professional, friendly and always available to answer any questions. Dr. Eggert did a great job with my surgery. He called me the night I got home and also a few days later to see how I was doing. I really loved all the text messages I received from OSI after surgery also. The messages were sent out often about things you might be feeling, exercises you should be doing, where you should be at in your recovery and always on point and very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Eggert and his staff.

Dr Kuplic is amazing! I have been seeing him for years. Started back in 2001 with a torn meniscus. I have issues with arthritis and bone-on-bone in hips and knees. I recently had a hip replacement and feel great. So great, I have the other hip scheduled already to be replaced! And in the beginning of the year, will start with the knees. He has literally changed my life already! Cannot wait until the other surgeries are complete. I recommend him to everyone! Great surgeon, great person! And his side kick Brad is equally amazing!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ritzow since 2007 when I had a total knee replacement. He is a knowledgeable, caring and personable doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Eggert did well with my surgery and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I feared the spinal but it went very well. Much Thanks to my therapist, Chris and Courtney who helped me through the pain which is only an ache now and then. Its now six weeks and i am walking fine.

Best Ever Orthopedic Doctor. I have seen a lot. He is so personable, but very thorough in explaining all options and in a way I can understand. His demeanor in all situations is spot on. His surgery outcomes are the best I have ever experienced. I am doing more than I should be able to because of his surgical ability. I have recommended Dr. Ritzow to many of my friends and family and their experience has been the same as mine.

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Eggert and at that appt. I found out that my husband talked to him about the pain I was having in my leg. So Dr. Eggert checked my leg and said I have bursitis in my leg and gave me a steroid shot. Needless to say I no longer have pain in my leg. It’s been 3 months of pain and gone in 3 days! I can’t thank you enough Dr. Eggert for being so concerned!

My treatment was thorough. Surgery produced the results I needed to live an active life at 76. Dr. Kuplic and his staff are skilled, efficient, answered all my questions and guided me through the entire process. Calls were returned promptly.

I am more than pleased with everything that I experienced with my first knee replacement. I had very little discomfort and I felt pretty much back to normal in less than 6weeks.

I loved the texts the were so timely for my feels an any given day. They helped me feel I was doing okay or better than I felt I was doing. My daughter read some and she commented that she wished she had the aid of the texts instead of not knowing what was the the right feelings at different times maybe.

Dr Minorik and his staff are so compassionate. They provide the big picture and let you make the decision on how you want to move forward. They are helpful but at the same time, necessarily realistic

I had been trying to get someone to hear me. I am miserable and not living. I have a terrible degenerative knee and it keeps being operated on and injections after injections. I am down and on crutches now more than not. I walked in to many clinics asking for help. Get out from under yet another scope after just having one in November 2022 and never recovering. He agreed to see me! He gave me hope. He will be giving me my life back after 8 years of surgeries and more the 15 of knee pain. He called me personally and assured me he will be here every step of the way. I never felt more human again. I look forward to life again.

Totally non-judgmental…..and fun to connect with on non physical subjects. My second visit with him in 5 years for different knees…..both visits terrific. I’d be remiss if I didn’t also commend his assistant, Kim Williston….also terrific! Recommend to all!

I’m so impressed with Dr. David Eggert’s professionalism, kindness, listening ear and genuinely caring personality. The best bedside manners you could ask for along with being a skilled doctor with so many, many years of experience! ! I appreciated the daily text messages after my knee replacement, and overall clear communication before and after surgery. His recommendations for a continuous passive motion device (CPM) and the Game Getting Ready ice / compression machine were appreciated and I understood the value of needing both in the recovery process!!! A doctor you can trust!

Brad Borgen, the follow-up physician, is super personable and spent the time needed to keep me on track and advised me on physical limitations as well as wound management tips.
