When you choose OSI, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation to answer all your orthopedic questions before, during, and after surgery.

Everything we do at Orthopedic & Sports Institute is centered around our patients. Do you have questions? We’ll answer them. Do you have concerns? We’ll address them. Do you have reservations? We’ll reassure you. Our goal is for you to have the absolute best orthopedic health experience possible. Our Total Joint program is an essential part of that.

What is OSI’s Total Joint Program?

OSI’s Total Joint Program is a one-on-one meeting with an OSI total joint nurse prior to your surgery to prepare you and review your pre-, during, and postoperative expectations, including exercises and expectations for mobility. This gives you the opportunity to ask any question about any part of your surgery and get the answer directly from an orthopedic nurse assigned to your care. Unlike other surgery facilities that may offer group joint program classes, OSI is a personal, one-on-one experience; a meeting set up between the patient and the nurse, around the patient’s schedule.

Who can participate in OSI’s Total Joint Program?

OSI’s Total Joint Program is for patients that are approved to have their surgery at OSI’s Appleton’s surgery center. Surgery patients who are required (usually per insurance mandates) to receive surgery from a hospital, even if the surgery is performed by an OSI surgeon, are not eligible for the Total Joint Program.

What does OSI’s Total Joint Program Entail?

In addition to the one-on-one meeting with an orthopedic nurse regarding all the details of your surgery and recovery, patients who have their surgery at OSI’s Appleton Surgery Center get:

  • Individualized/personal treatment
  • An on-site physical therapy monitored by your OSI surgeon
  • An on-site cafeteria with made to order food
  • Frozen prepared meals to take home to start your recovery from home
  • A shirt and shorts
