OSI Operating Room Circulating RN

This individual is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the surgical suite and assists with the supervision of team personnel in the area. Through assessment of the individual patient and procedure, he/she anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. The RN promotes restoration of health and the achievement of patient health goals through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the delivery of patient care as defined by ambulatory care nursing philosophy and the mission of the practice. This is a 0.8 FTE position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year RN experience required and 2 years of Ortho/Neuro preferred
  • Must be currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin and familiar with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Certified in BLS with ACLS certification required
  • Candidate must be flexible with shifts that vary from 5:30 A.M. – 6:30 P.M.

OR Materials Coordinator

As an OR Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, implementing, and measuring supply chain activities within the operating room. The OR Materials Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting OR operations through inventory management and fostering a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clinical knowledge of the OR and be able to perform staff Surgical Technician duties when needed
  • Be continuously flexible and assist when needed in order to keep the daily surgery schedule flowing
  • Ensure supplies and instruments are available for daily surgery cases
  • Monitor material and supply inventory to ensure proper levels are maintained and rotate stock as appropriate
  • Order medical supplies and materials for OR and Prep/PACU
  • Monitor Vision for special equipment/instrument/implant needs and procure as needed from vendors
  • Use Vision to create purchase orders as needed
  • Sustain a strong relationship with our vendors
  • Be aware of items on backorder and find replacements if needed
  • Receive and unpack shipments and verify contents against packing slips
  • Maintain knowledge of material costs and look for areas to reduce costs and work with vendors for better pricing or alternative items
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Monitor expiration dates of items in receiving room
  • Verify and close out invoices

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate from a Surgical Technology program and/or equivalent clinical training preferred.
  • 3 years of clinical and healthcare supply chain experience with demonstrated leadership skills required.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant clinical and/or materials experience may be substituted for education listed.
  • Operating Room or Surgical Services experience preferred.

Concierge

Orthopedic & Sports Institute (OSI) is looking to add an additional part-time team member to our Concierge team. The concierge enhances the patient, guest, vendor, and team member experience by providing up to date information about OSI and its building partners. The concierge team member must be polite, flexible, and accommodating to the needs of the campus. 

Essential Functions:

  • Greeting all guests with a warm and welcoming smile; offer and assist with wheelchairs as needed.
  • Give a warm good-bye and assistance as needed upon departure.
  • Offer assistance to the patients in and out of the car, building, use of a wheel-chair etc.
  • Provide directions in the building to OSI patients, guests, and vendors.
  • Manage the lobby to include brewing coffee, assisting those waiting, and monitor the InstyMeds machine when asked.
  • Keep inventory of the coffee, supplies, and ordering.
  • Interact with patients, guest, vendors, and team members.
  • Sort and deliver mail.
  • Monitor and manage the room schedule for the classroom.
  • Serve as the “Go-to” person for the team members, guests, and vendors.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Recovery Inn Registered Nurse

The Recovery Inn, located on the campus of the Orthopedic & Sports Institute, is a unique facility offering highly specialized rehabilitation services to those recovering from joint replacement or repair surgery.  

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the care and safety of patients. The RN is also responsible for ensuring effective communication among him/herself, the certified nursing assistant, the patient and their families, other staff, and physicians. The RN promotes restoration of health and the achievement of patient health goals through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and delegation in the delivery of patient care. The RN must be perceptive, with good judgment and decision-making/problem-solving skills, and must be able to understand and implement the plan of care. The RN must show courtesy and respect to other employees, patients, family members, and visitors while providing excellent customer service. 

We are currently seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to assist with vacation hours and additional staffing needs, must be available to work a variety of shifts.

Recovery Inn Certified Nursing Assistant

The Recovery Inn, located on the campus of the Orthopedic & Sports Institute, is a unique facility offering highly specialized rehabilitation services to those recovering from joint replacement or repair surgery.  

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a vital member of the patient care team. In accordance with the patient/family plan of care, the Certified Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collects patient information and provides direct patient care that contributes significantly to achievement of patient and family outcomes. As a member of the direct care team, the CNA is responsible and accountable for complete and accurate data collection and recording, completion of routine and delegated direct care activities, and communicating and collaborating with the RN to prioritize workload so that patient care outcomes are achieved. The CNA must show courtesy and respect to other employees, patients, family members, and visitors while providing excellent customer service. We currently have a variety of shifts available, part-time and full-time.
