Position Responsibilities 

  • Scheduling and coordination of patient diagnostic and surgical procedures
  • Coordinate related patient documentation and communication to prepare patient for tests and surgery
  • Confirms patient appointments and informs patients of physician orders or special instructions
  • Maintains timely, complete documentation and record keeping to ensure accurate continuity of care
  • Assists physician in examination room when required

OSI Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist, under the guidance of the staff registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of patients who come under his/her care. The surgical tech is responsible for ensuring effective communications between him/herself, the circulating nurse, the patient, other staff, and physicians. By anticipating the needs of the surgeon, the surgical tech provides assistance while maintaining an aseptic and safe surgical environment. This position is a PRN.
