Neighboring Businesses Work Together to Raise Donations

Enterprise Avenue volunteers load food donations on November 16, 2018.

The Enterprise Avenue Food Drive collected food and monetary donations once again this year to support the Salvation Army – Fox Cities.

Baker Tilly coordinated the week-long event and partnered with the following businesses in Appleton’s Enterprise Avenue area: Bronfman E.L. Rothschild, Cambria Hotels & Suites, FastSigns, Grant Thornton, Larson Engineering, McCarty Law, Menn Law Firm, Orthopedic & Sports Institute, Primary Care Associates of Appleton, LTD, Rejuvenessence mediSpa and Wipfli.

This year’s food drive, the 6th annual, collected 3,960 pounds of non-perishable food and $4,324 in cash donations.

“We are extremely blessed and thankful for the continued support of the good people at Baker Tilly and their supporting sponsors,” said Major David Minks, corps officer for the Salvation Army – Fox Cities. “This two tons of much needed food items will be immediately utilized by local families in need.”

The Salvation Army’s Appleton and Neenah Emergency Food Pantries provide groceries to an average of 2,400 people each month.

“This is our largest total collection in the six year history of the drive,” said Matthew Wettstein of Baker Tilly. “It is incredible the difference we can make in the lives of those in the community that are less fortunate than us.”

The Salvation Army food pantries are also supported by the Bell Ringing Campaign, which continues in the Fox Cities through December 24, 2018. To register, click here.
